When SUVs Made Sense

When SUVs Made Sense

Already in 2004, I was surprised my father in my college graduation with a brand new Jeep Liberty that he drove himself and his immediate family down in. I was thrilled. A few years ago I decided that another new Jeep Liberty to get a 2007 …. Then the economy collapsed. Whoops.
There was a time when buying an SUV would have mad more sense. Remember when the Hummer first hit the scene as a vehicle for all Americans, cookie cutter family? Then we saw the explosion of the onceSoccer Moms hits the ground in these vehicles, which looked more cut out for a desert trip than for a girl scouts meeting in the church. The people were with those who held angry lobster and accuses them of that cut drivers who braked and selfish people off several parking spaces in the mall parking lots. In retrospect, I'm pretty sure that these men in charge, the parking lots at the finish, it was just that she could not figure out how to park the cars!
Today, withPeople are losing their jobs left and right and an economy that is almost set to less than the rise in inflation fail, and the bankruptcy of the major car manufacturers such as General Motors and Chrysler, people are opting out of the purchase of sport utility vehicles, and focuses instead on driving more energy-efficient, compact cars. If all else fails and they have yet to commit his legs, they break their best pair of walking or running shoes and hit the pavement.
The worst thing Iused to see if the SUV revolution was underway in much did all these college guys with the big pickup trucks that had absolutely nothing in them. Here were all these bright, good-as-new-pickup trucks parked around campus without any indication that they are for something other than looking pretty used in a parking lot. "What a waste!" I remember thinking. If I think it will be used pickups, I think in order that the work must be done on the farms will be toting hay or feed. I thinkthe strainers and dirt caked on the sides. I do not think about fancy rims on the wheels and strategically placed stickers.
If you have a car, or perhaps if you have a car bought in the past to buy what you think? Think about how cool you to all your friends, family search, and / or peers? It seems that when most people buy sport utility vehicles do, they are not in reasonable to think concretely. Why, when I am on my next vehicle purchase on emotion orsomething beyond reason, I'd probably end up with a Passat or an Audi TT Quatro both way out of my price range right now. We must remain vigilant about our purchases. Unless you carry a lot of people or things around too much, then you probably do not really need an SUV to help.
